There’s no single best time to visit Disney World. It depends on whether you care most about events, crowds and price, or weather. This guide covers the rest of 2026 and 2027 with dates Disney has confirmed, and it shows you how to judge crowds for your own dates rather than relying on someone’s guess.

How to judge crowds for your dates
Crowd predictions are guesses. Here’s a better signal you can check yourself: Disney World tickets are date-based, so the same ticket costs different amounts on different days. Busier dates generally cost more.
- Open Disney’s ticket page and look at the price calendar for your possible dates.
- Compare dates. A noticeably cheaper week is usually one Disney expects to be quieter.
- Check whether a separate-ticket party (Halloween or Christmas) falls on your Magic Kingdom day. Party nights can change Magic Kingdom’s regular hours, so check park hours for your date.
Weather and hurricane season
- The Atlantic hurricane season runs June 1 – November 30. Storms are unpredictable, so consider travel insurance and read Disney’s policies for your booking.
- Summer is hot and humid, with frequent afternoon storms. Plan indoor breaks and start early.

When to book dining for your dates
Whatever you choose, restaurant reservations open 60 days before each date at about 6:00 AM Eastern. Disney Resort hotel guests can book their whole stay (up to 10 nights) at once. So:
- Christmas party or holiday trips (November–December 2026): booking windows are open now for many dates. If a restaurant you want is full, see the hard-to-book guide.
- Festival of the Arts trips (January 15 – March 1, 2027): your 60-day mark falls in mid-November to late December 2026.
- Flower & Garden trips (March 10 – May 31, 2027): your 60-day mark falls between early January and early April 2027.
